Our mixed activity events are a versatile and flexible way to entertain groups of customers, colleagues, and friends. Times can vary from a couple of hours to a full-day, for any size of group from six people to several hundred.

Guests will be divided into manageable teams of between five and eight people who will circulate around a number of activities during the event.

Teams will typically spend between 45 and 60 minutes at each activity. This allows sufficient time for each team member to have a good go and be scored on their efforts (a bit of gentle competition always goes down well!)

Activities

Activities that can be incorporated into a mixed activity event are highly varied and can be divided down into three broad groups:

Driving
Shooting
Team Building

Most events will mix two or three of these activity groups together to create a good blend of activities. Any of the following activities can be selected:

4x4 Off Roading

Each guest will be given expert tuition on how to drive and control a fully equipped Land Rover. All guests will drive the vehicle over a challenging course incorporating inclines, descents, water splashes and lots of mud. It is a great experience and one that without fail everyone loves.

Archery

Experienced instructors take the group through a series of practice sessions and then a scored competition using Recurve longbows. This section is always popular, as most people will start with limited success and then rapidly improve to achieve some useful scores.

Axe Throwing

Learn to throw an axe into wooden roundel targets - release your inner Viking!
A really satisfying activity with some simple skills that anyone can pick up quickly.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

A true favourite! Each team member will receive careful tuition from a qualified instructor. Twelve gauge shotguns with low recoil cartridges are used to shoot at a variety of clay targets such as crossing, going away targets, bolting rabbit and springing teal.

Climbing Wall

Test your climbing skills on our 33 foot high rock climbing wall - a true test of courage and team wok!

Crossbows

These accurate weapons are fired at paper targets over a distance of 20 metres. The crossbow combines the power of an archery bow with the accuracy of a rifle and combined with a telescopic sight impressive scores can be achieved. Each guest will have several practice shots before competing in a competition.

Digger Challenge

This is a true test of skill. Each team has the challenge of delicately picking up footballs and placing them in buckets with the back arm of the digger - the arm is controlled using a series of hydraulic rams. Hand controls command the rams making this a true test of hand-eye co-ordination, and you are guaranteed to appreciate the guys you see working on them from now on!

Empire Crate Building

The team is equipped with 50 milk crates with which they must form the tallest tower possible. The tower must hold the weight of one team member at its summit (they are connected to a safety line for when the tower eventually falls over)!

Hovercraft

Riding on a cushion of air, the hovercraft provides a truly unique experience, which offers an unusual test of co-ordination skills and balance. Team members are scored on how they negotiate a large flagged circuit.

Karting (Additional Cost Applies)

Race powerful twin engined go karts around a purpose built race track. High speed adrenaline fuelled activity to bring out your competitive side.
PLEASE NOTE - an additional £20 per person is charged for karting.

Pistol and Rifle Target Gallery

A superb 12 firing point indoor range shooting at a huge array of reactive targets including 2 fairground style knockdown duck galleries against the clock, duelling trees and competition paper targets 5 to 40 metres away using gas powered bolt-action pistols and rifles fitted with telescopic sights. Individual weapons, so everyone’s involved!

Poles Apart Team Building Exercise

A great team challenge that appears deceptively easy. Each team member must sign his or her name on a pad of paper. Unfortunately the paper is in the centre of a minefield. A structure must therefore be made from wooden poles and ropes to allow each person to reach the paper.

Everyone will have an idea on how to solve the problem and often the biggest challenge is getting the whole team to work together on a single solution!

Powerturn Driving

PowerTurns are two-seater twin-engined karts capable of amazing tricks! Forget steering wheels and pedals; two people drive the kart, each has a hand throttle controlling one engine meaning the kart will spin on the spot, do donuts and pull wheelies at 30 mph going round corners! PowerTurns are also perfect for team building and corporate entertainment because in pairs, you’ll need communication and cooperation – unless of course you want to spend the day spinning out of control!

Quad Bike Trekking (Additional Cost Applies)

Drive a powerful all-terrain quad bike through 100 acres of challenging countryside incorporating slopes, mud, grassland and picturesque woodland. The trek starts with a training session to ensure the participants know how to ride and control bike and progresses through to challenging routes through dense woodland, mud, water and harsh terrain.

Quad Bikes

A classic and favourite activity. These are powerful 250 cc Honda FourTrax machines, and you will drive them on a tortuous circuit designed to test your skill as a driver.
The course incorporates slopes, tight corners and rough ground - exactly the terrain these machines are designed for.

Reverse Steer Snooker

A Jeep has been adapted by our crafty mechanic to ensure that when you try to turn left the vehicle goes right! Each driver tries to steer through a series of coloured gates (without hitting them) to score points. The colours match those of the balls on a snooker table – the red gates is really easy to drive through whilst the black gate leaves only a few inches each side. The gates need to be driven through in a set order, as in snooker, and points are awarded throughout the drivers turn.

Great fun, very light hearted and suitable for anyone (the instructors controls the vehicles foot pedals!)

Segways

These hi-tech machines are fascinating to ride! Powered by the latest lithium ion batteries, Segways are capable of over 12 miles an hour, which feels remarkably fast. Balance is controlled by the on-board gyroscope, computer and powerful electric motors. After a few minutes training even the most nervous rider can confidently navigate around the course.

UXB Team Building Exercise

A large unexploded bomb must be defused before the timer reaches zero. The bomb must be recovered from its resting-place and defused.

The bomb is heavy and awkward to lift and so requires ropes, pulleys, shackles and lateral thinking to move it to safe ground. A brain-twisting logic problem then needs to be solved to discover which coloured wire needs to be cut.

Nerves of steel are required for this task! A really solid team building exercise that will involve all of the team members.
